AIS Newspaper
After finish this project 3, I felt like I've learned lot of things from this project. For example:
- How to judge a reliability website
- What elements to tell whether that website is reliable or not
- I've learned some meaningful vocabularies
- Searching Engine: I've find out that this is very important. When you search something don't put the whole question. USE SPECIFIC WORDS!!!
- And lots of things I've learned from this cool project....
Finishing learning all the criteria, now I've experienced doing a celebrity newspaper. There are lots of famous celebrity, but one of my favorite is Selena Gomez. So, here is my newspaper that I've created. And now I'm gonna tell explain for you about my work:
- I've chose the background from Microsoft Publisher. I think that this background is looks good for my newspaper because it looks colorful, which every teens love to. So, I think that I've done well on choosing the right color choice.
- Balanced: If there a chance for me to fix this poster, I would like to fix the heading of the newspaper, because it looks so near to the border, which makes it no balanced. Beside the heading, I guess that all of my pictures and text are organize. For the pictures I've made a border to it, so it looks stand out.
- For the heading, I've use Paint.net. First I've put the background color is blue using the color wheel and transparent it. Next, I add a new layer and I named it "Pictures" then I add all of my pictures in it. Third, I've also make a text box called "NEWS" and the font is Cooper Black. I think that my heading looks OK.
- I don't use much of Fantastic Fonts, because in my opinion, if I put a fancy points i will look not professional, hard to read, and it's not appropriate for my audience which is the students in AIS. So, I think that this is a good choice. "Simple is the best"
- I've put my name and email so the audience now who am I. Change some font color so it looks not boring.

#inforeliability To determine whether the website is bias ask yourself "Do they giving you lots of information that you can make up your own mind?
Is the information biased in any way?
Information that you get from a web site can be biased.
You should look at the information and decide if it is biased or unbiased. You need to think about why the author has created the web site.
Do they want you to think in a certain way or are they giving you lots of information so that you can make up your own mind?
There are many reasons why a site might give biased information. These include:
1. To advertise a product or service
2. To change how you think - probably to their point of view
People are biased when they give one opinion without looking at the other points of view.
You might be said to be biased if you like one picture best because your best friend painted it!
It is very difficult to be completely unbiased, but you must try to think of all the different sides.
For something to be unbiased it must give all the points of view so that you can make up your own mind.
It will consider many people's opinions or several sets of facts before giving the author's own point of view.
In this case, you may also be able to form your own opinions instead of just accepting that one set of information must be the "right one".
Take a look at this web site:
This web site looks very official, and it is true that carrots are good for you, but other vegetables should be eaten too.
Because it is made by the International Carrot Society they are biased towards getting you to eat carrots.
They have not given you a balanced view on the importance of carrots.
Internet Reliability
1. Are the aims of the site clear? Finding the aim can help understand why the info was posted, whether to trust it.
2. If the website give you any information that you don't need to know, or too detail like Wikipedia skip it.
3. Always check the update for information reliability and it depends on the type of information you're looking.
4. If the website have a lot of information. You can check this website right or wrong by going to another website and check.
5. What choices does the website give you? Make sure there are choices for you to do. Also, they not suppose to have bias.
6. You should use website that has the information you need and remember to read the website carefully
7. It is suppose to be cleared the fact that who wrote it because we should know why he or she wrote it.
8. Careful to see if is bias or not. We should know why the author create the website

Internet Searching is an important part of your life. You do researches
all the time for your homework, school projects, for your jobs or even
for your own information. It is very important to know how to search the
Internet properly and efficiently.
Efficient Internet Searching:
- Whenever you search remember that the golden rule is to be as specific as you can
- Don't include common words in your searches
- Put quotes around words you want to "stick together" in searches
- The plus symbol makes sure a word is included in the search
- The minus symbol makes sure a word is not included in the search
